we had a class committee meeting with the scs today regarding teachers day
here is whats gonna happen and what we needa do
rmb the theme of this year’s teachers day is MOVE-ES: You Move Our Lives (MOVIES:pun)
so the day we will be celebrating it on would be on the 29th August 2008
the schedule as follows –
0755 – 0810: Flag raising ceremony. (starts at 0755 so better leave class by 0750)
0810 – 0900: Presentation of pre-concert gift
0900 – 1030: concert
1030 – 1200: potluck party
the attire for that day is REALLY INTERESTING and I sincerely hope u would all try to follow.
each class is to choose a movie. Students ARE TO DRESS UP AS MOVIE CHARACTERS in the movie
so tomorrow we choose the movie yeh?

however, some guidelines. no inappropriate attire and footwear such as spaghetti stripes, slippers etc.
potluck part.
it will be held at the gym and grandstand
each class is to bring food enough for everyone inclusive of class teachers
guidelines:
staple food: fried rice, bee hoon…
finger food: hotdog, nuggets, fishball
snacks: chips?
drinks: (1.5l bottles)
pre-celebration gifts
- flakes in melted chocolate
- we need ONE volunteer from each class to go down to the school hostel on Saturday 23rd august 2008 to prepare the pre-celebration gifts from 12pm-1pm
any volunteers? if not I ask miss ho to pick…
teacher’s day gift
I need to use $36 from our class fund cos each person has to contribute $1 each. no collections as class fund has enough for the time being
it would be a notebook with handwritten messages from students
tmr I will give u some colour papers and u are to write messages

we have 45 sheets of paper
I believe we have 4 MEP students? so 11 pieces are taken up alr (including vp, p and miss kiw, computing teacher, malay teacher) than left with 34
replacement or trainee teachers who would u like to give?

most likely giving each main subject teachers 3-4 each depending on who are the replacement or trainee teachers u guys wanna give to
they would like to meet ALL cls com members at the foyer after assembly on Monday
pls note that we DO NEED a person to go for the chocolate thingie
